Whether you only have an hour or the whole day, you will find plenty to do at Christmas Fest. Take a ride on a horse-driven tram. Snap photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Maybe even start out with hot food and drinks. But plan to have fun as you continue your family's Christmas tradition!
Three ways to select a Christmas Tree:
- Grab a cart and walk to the field to select and cut your Christmas tree.
- Hop on a tractor-pulled tram taking you to the field to select and cut your Christmas tree.
- Get on a horse-pulled wagon ride to the field to select and cut your Christmas tree.
Other activities at Christmas Fest:
- Fresh, pre-cut trees are available in our front lot.
- Hike the new trail that circles through the tall pines and oaks.
- Snap memorable photos of your kids positioned behind the Christmas cut-out stands.
- Additional photo opportunity: Snap pictures of the kids aboard the farm tractor-wagon set.
- Tour the Christmas Barn for browsing and shopping for gifts. You may find something special for yourself or to give as a gift.
- Take a break and sit down for a snack or warm drink in the "Eats" building. We offer hot dogs, sodas, cocoa and coffee.
- Pick up quilting pointers while visiting with the LaPorte County Quilters.
- Visit the Wreath Crib to select the perfect wreath for your home or office.
- Enter the greenhouse for a great selection of greenery products, including pillows, garland, kissing balls and more.
- Watch the Hensler Nursery "elves" decorating fresh greenery products in the Wreath Decorating building. You can even place a custom-made order for a wreath, kissing ball or other items.
- Visit with the pheasants (Silvers) and the peacocks.
- Count the antique tractors. Like one gentlemen was fond of saying: "If you can count 'em, you don't have enough."
- Santa! Don't forget a memorable visit with him!
